To change the name of the file that will be created, type a new file. You could also use a hardcoded name within the configuration, the solution above probably better. To change a file location, click Browse, and select a new location/file on your computer. $currentFile = ::Format("D:\prtg\router-config-backups\",$backupFileName) It is also a good idea to back up older configurations in the folder Configuration Auto-Backups. $date = (Get-Date -Format "ddMMyyyy-HH.mm.ss") For a quick backup of only the monitoring configuration (for example, groups, devices, sensors, users, maps, reports), back up the file PRTG Configuration.dat in the PRTG data directory. Make sure that the sensor name matches the configuration file: Scroll down to the bottom of the File History window and click. Go to Settings > Update
